Iqbal Manzil the birthplace of Allama Iqbal Iqbal Manzil ("Manzil"; word in Urdu meaning 'building' or 'mansion') is the birthplace of Muslim poet and philosopher Dr Muhammad Allama Iqbal (1877-1938). It is located in the heart of the city of Sialkot in Punjab province of Pakistan. Iqbal Manzil was purchased in 1861 by Mohammad Rafique, the great-grandfather of Allama Iqbal. The house was originally very small, but each successor kept adding to it and the building grew in size. After the death of his father Noor Muhammad, Iqbal's his elder brother, Ata Mohammad, was named the owner of the Iqbal Manzil. Ata Mohammed's sons after his death, left the house and took up residences in Karachi and Lahore

Iqbal manzil, a historical edifice is located at Sialkot one of the ancient cities known to mankind. It lies in heart of Sialkot, in old Bazar. It has been reshaped many times in history, starting from two rooms set to three stories building in its present shape. Currently it's property of archaeology department of government of Pakistan. If you want to visit, it's advisable not to travel through Bazar/ khajA Asif road, rather to go via circular road, Park vehicle outside on circular road and go by foot And distance is around 250-300 meters. Bike parking might be available inside.
